North Baldwin Center for Technology has served students in Baldwin County since 1971. Presently students from Baldwin County High School, Daphne High School and Spanish Fort High School elect to take career technical classes from nine different program areas. In 2009 the State Course of Study was revised to accommodate FSCC Dual Enrollment and the areas offered are: Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, which includes Horticulture, Forestry, Fish and Wildlife, Landscape Design & Management, Nursery Production & Management, Greenhouse Production & Management; Architecture & Construction, which includes Building Science, HVACR, and Welding courses; Health Science, which includes a two year internship; Education and Training, which includes a two year internship; Human Services, our cosmetology coursework; Business, Management Administration & Finance; and Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, our Automotive Service Technology, A State Articulation Agreement is in place for several classes offered at NBCT; which means students graduating from NBCT and their feeder high school may receive both a high school credit as well as college credit for certain courses taken at NBCT. An Articulation Agreement with Faulker State Community is forthcoming this school year. Beginning with the 2008-2009 school year, FSCC also began a dual enrollment agreement with the BCBOE in the following areas: Architecture & Construction, which includes selected Carpentry, HVACR, & Welding coursework and Transportation, Distribution & Logistics, our automotive coursework.
